Sunderland City Council have undertaken a competitive dialogue process under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, advertised under Find a Tender Ref: 2024/S 000-012340 which was published on the 16 April 2024. Through this procurement process the Council is pursuing delivery of a zonal scale heat network for ‘Sunderland Central’ through a Joint Development Agreement approach, the network will serve Sunderland city centre and the wider area.
The Council intends to move into the process of appointing and entering into the Joint Development Agreement with the preferred bidder, subject to the expiry of the standstill period after 11:59pm on 31 March 2025.
NOTE: This notification has been issued to comply with funding conditions, there is no live opportunity, and the Council has no existing requirement for further project support.
